I was a little scared regarding the fate of the PS3 6-12 months ago. Now, though, with sales looking very much up and MGS 4 being just around the corner, those concerns seem to have melted away.
General consensus now seems to be that Microsoft are on thin ice and that 360 is losing a lot of it's momentum. Also Greenburg's and Kim's recent comments have just made them look slightly desperate.
We shouldn't get complacent though, because, as we have seen with the PS3, t...
I don't agree that there are no similarities between these two games. They both utilise user created content mechanics, they both appeal to a more casual audience, they both push community sharing and they're both platformers.
The thing is, Banjo stops at making contraptions to help you traverse these platforms whereas Little Big Planet goes further and allows you to create said platforms as well as creating things to help you traverse them. There are definite similarities, but o...
That's pretty amazing actually.
And just think, this is one of many features that Home will have. It's going to be big!
Perfect score you say? I'm disappointed. I at least expected higher than GTA IV.
MGS4 = Game of my life so far.
He's not though. He's talking crap about other companies.
The point I was trying to make was that what you said would have been equally as valid if you pointed it in the other direction. If you want to point out where the errors are in that first section then be my guest. I doubt you'll find many.
"Variety? I'd like to know where are the high profile action games? the RPGs and the RTS? to mention a few."
Just because PS3's lineup doesn't match up exactly genrewise to 360's doesn't mean they can't both be varied. ...
And yet this moron is making comments on how PS3 games are slipping and how the chance of PS3 'winning' this year is gone because of this!!! How the f**k does he know that Sony don't have things in 'the pipeline'? Oh wait, he doesn't, he's just up to his usual PR bollocks.
I'm getting fed up with all of this new-found arrogance MS have been exuding, it makes them look like nothing more than unprofessional fanboys.
No no, I think you're confused. The latest Killzone 2 footage was actually real-time. I can understand why you may have thought it was CG though, it does look absolutely amazing.
Sony is not relying in A single game to sell hardware, they're investing in multiple games and genre to build such a strong library that appeals to anybody who is interested in games.
Microsoft fans have been talking about how earthshaking GeOW2 will be, and in terms of quality, it might be but just like any other hardcore oriented games, it will not pull hardware sales because most GeOW hardcores already own a 360. Many would say, yes but it's the same with Metal Gear Solid, and...
Oh dear.
That's that one debunked then.
I was impressed by particle effects. All of that debris flying around and not a single dip in framerate. That's hot sh!t right there!
My household had a 100% attach rate for Grand Theft Auto IV and PS3 sales were up 100% over the previous decade. This proves that if developers want to sell games, my house is the best play to sell them to. Also, 1 in 5 members of my household would gladly pay double the price of the RRP to get the game earlier than anyone else.
HINT HINT KONAMI / MEDIA MOLECULE
Damn, spin is easy!!!
Splinter Cell = Poor Man's Metal Gear Solid.
I don't get it...
Well, you put it like that and I suppose you're right. It just seemed you had based your entire opinion of the game on the demo.
I doubt even if they had a million it would make the slightest bit of difference. Valve have already made it pretty clear that they want nothing to do with the PS3. Their loss I suppose.

"generic voice work? Check. Generic FPS? Check. Generic art direction? Check. Even the story seems generic so far."
How on earth can you possibly say any of that?
Generic voice work? The demo had maybe 15 - 20 lines in it. Hardly a good sample to form an opinion of the entire game on.
Generic FPS? Beyond replacing the gun with a rabid badger, I'm not really sure what you expect. I don't see how COD 4, as an FPS, reall...
If it wasn't for MGS4 being out in 25 days (!!!) then I would definitely be buying this game. As it is though (and with exams on right up until MGS4 release pretty much) I will be giving this one a miss. It's a shame because I actually really liked the look of it and though the demo was pretty nice. The gameplay offered something a little different as well. Even in the short demo, I was really heavily relying on the nectar and can see how having that ripped away half way through could really ...
Hearing that the reviews were conducted in this way has really clarified things for me.
As the game went on I got more and more disillusioned with it. I wouldn't say I found it repetitive (I didn't find Assassin's Creed repetitive and apparently that is quite a feat) it just all began to fizzle out and for some reason I just got less and less enjoyment out of it and actually towards the end, my mood would gradually sink with each play session. The highlights just didn't stand out...
